Right Side of the Master Control Zone

Honkai Star Rail - Treasure Chest Guy Location in Master Control Zone

From the Central Passage space anchor, head northeast and you should find a man next to a basic chest. If you try to open the chest, the man will stop you and immediately leave the area.

Teleport to the Base Zone

Honkai Star Rail - Treasure Chest Guy Location in Base Zone

Follow the man to the Base Zone and just walk straight from the Reception Center space anchor. The researcher will be there with his chest, which you can interact with again. Once he notices you staring at the chest, you can talk to him this time and receive rewards!

Treasure Chest Guy Rewards

Hertareum and Adventure Logs

The researcher will give you 20 Hertareum and 2 Adventure Logs after completing the interaction.
