Lingering Shadows can be unlocked once you reach Trailblaze Level 1 or above and have completed A Moment of Peace mission.

Lingering Shadows Walkthrough

Quest Walkthrough
1 Clear the obstacles and continue forward. Defeat all the enemies with Himeko, Dan Heng, and March 7th.
2 Once you reach the Supply Zone, head right and all the way down to the controller at the bottom.
3 Turn that controller on, then proceed to cross the bridge.
4 Activate the controller in the middle of the platform to move the repulsion bridge to the other side.
5 Cross the bridge then head down toward the door to the right.
6 Once you're on the other side of the doors, turn right and defeat the enemy by the door at the end of the corridor.
7 Head inside the Supply Zone room and defeat the enemies or avoid them and get to the door.
8 Exit the room, then reach the railway platform as soon as possible.

10 After the cutscene, search for Himeko. Talk to Himeko and Herta.
11 Go to Herta's Office, then talk to her.
12 Finish the conversation to start on the Simulated Universe part of the mission!

How to Beat the Doomsday Beast

Beat all Three Doomsday Beast Targets

The Doomsday Beast has two phases and three targets, you must attack with the right elements. All have a weakness for Fire, so you must use Himeko to break the toughness of the three targets as much as possible.

Once you defeat those three targets, the Doomsday Beast can be attacked. You must deplete their HP before they have the chance to recover. Then do the same for the second phase!

Save Skill Points for Himeko and March 7th

During the mission, it's likely that your party will have March 7th, Himeko, Dan Heng, and the Trailblazer. At the start, save skill points for granting shields on all your allies whenever it's March 7th's turn.

Use Himeko's AoE Skills on all three targets. Only use Skill Points on Dan Heng or the Trailblazer when you have a spare or the target's toughness is halfway gone!
