Explanation
The Birth of the Self provides decent stats since it's a 4-star Light Cone. It provides a guaranteed buff to the wearer's follow-up attack once equipped. Additionally, if the HP of the target enemy is below or equal to 50%, the DMG dealt by the follow-up attack further increases!
The Birth of the Self should fit for any Erudition character with follow-up attacks. Other than the Light Cone's base stats, it doesn't buff other mechanics except for follow-up attacks, which is underwhelming compared to the other choices!
Is The Birth of the Self Worth It?
Good for Erudition Characters with Follow-up Attacks
If you pulled The Birth of the Self, we only recommend upgrading it if you don't have Before Dawn and for some reason, not planning to superimpose The Seriousness of Breakfast, a readily available Light Cone in the Forgotten Hall's Light Cone Manifest Store.

Anonymous over 2 yearsIf you have E2 Himeko, this lightcone makes greater follow up damage also both light cone and her have conditional target enemy 50% less dealing even more damage. I'd highly recommend for follow up damage build units.
