Two-Headed Rat Guai Quest Guide

Completing the Two-Headed Rat Guai quest will unlock the Ashen Slumber Transformation. Read on to learn about where to find the Two-Headed Rat Guai, how to complete the quest, and obtain the Ashen Slumber Transformation.

Found in Sandgate Village in Chapter 3

To start the Two-Headed Rat Guai quest, you will need to go to the Village Entrance Shrine at Sandgate Village. Go to the back of the village and defeat the 2 Two-Headed Rat Guais that are found near the entrance to the Second Prince of Flowing Sands boss fight.

After defeating them, turn to the left and go up the hill until you reach a lone house next to a big tree. The entrance should be covered by a rock and there will be someone hiding inside. Exhaust all the dialogue with the NPC until they start repeating about a Third Prince who went West. This must be done before you reach Chapter 3.

Talk to the Third Prince

When you start at the Pagoda Realm in Chapter 3, you will find the Third Prince in the cell next to yours. There will be a purple seal on his door and you can only speak to him from outside.

You will need to defeat Captain Lotus-Vision to unlock the Third Prince's cell. After defeating them, head back to the Lower Pagoda and enter the the Third Prince's cell that no longer has a seal.

Pull Out the Sword in the Rat Corpse

Next to the Third Prince should be a rat corpse with a sword sticking out of its abdomen. Pull the sword out and you will obtain the Ashen Slumber Transformation and complete the quest.

It should be noted that the corpse will only appear if you were able to exhaust the dialogue with the NPC from the Sandgate Village. If you didn't, the corpse won't be there.

Defeat the Two-Headed Rat Guai To Obtain the Ashen Slumber Transformation

If there is no corpse in the Third Prince's cell, teleport to the Upper Pagoda and go down the staircase. Keep going straight until you encounter the Two-Headed Rat Guai at the end. Defeat it and you will obtain the Ashen Slumber Transformation.

If the Two-Headed Rat Guai still does not appear, return to the Sandgate Village in Chapter 2 and make sure that you were able to exhaust all the dialogue with the NPC.

Description	Blow forth flames where ash is laid, for days of glory soon shall fade. Transform into a rat guai, slashing at the enemy while blowing fierce flames at them, inflicting Scorch Bane. Focus built up before transformation can be converted for use afterward.
