New Year Seiðr and New Year Askr are the two best units on this banner and they fulfill different roles.

New Year Seiðr is a fantastic support unit with the ability to lock down enemy heroes with Future-Sighted. In competitive game modes, forcefully ending a foe's action has very little counterplay, with only Firm Canto Curb able to neutralize this effect.

New Year Askr is a tank unit capable of withstanding attacks with his true damage reduction effect. While he isn't the best tank in today's metagame, he can still compete if given enough investment such as Laguz Friend 4.
