Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Conrad will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Atk/-HP

The best IVs for Conrad are +Atk and -HP. Conrad does not rely on follow-up attacks to deal damage so a +Atk IV is best for him. It somehow patches his low Atk stat because his sats are mainly set-up as a dual wall. To nail follow-up attacks, we recommend getting Quick Riposte 3 as he is already very strong in the enemy phase. His HP is of less importance so it can be safely taken as a bane.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Conrad to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. If you prefer to boost his defenses even more, you can go with a +Def or +Res stat depending on your needs.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a budget build for Conrad that requires minimal Skill Inheritance. Quick Riposte ensures he has a guaranteed follow-up attack, while Atk Smoke 3 helps in debuffing enemy units after combat.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a premium build for Conrad that fully takes advantage of his Res stat. Distant Stance helps him get additional Res while being able to attack regardless of rang while Quick Riposte gives him damage reduction and guaranteed follow-up attack during enemy phase combats.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Masked Lance

Masked Lance mostly plays around Conrad's Res which can give him several effects during combat. To start, Masked Lance can give him Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 on combat initiation and inflict penalties on all stats, calculated based on the 20% of his Res.

Also, if his Res is higher than his foes, it will trigger the weapon's new built-in Dragon Wall 3 effect, which can help him reduce damage from area-of-effect Specials.

Conrad is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he/she deals will be equivalent to his/her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Conrad Strengths

Balanced Defenses

Conrad's Def and Res sits at 34 and 35 at Lv.40. He has great defenses even without merges or dragonflowers. His bulk greatly improves in the enemy phase as Bracing Stance 2 grants him +4 Def/Res whenever enemies attack him. Because of this skill, Conrad might be better off baiting enemies into attacking him rather than engaging enemies in the player phase.

Strong Against Magic Attaks

In addition to his naturally high defensive stats and Bracing Stance 2 mentioned above, Barrier Lance+ grants +7 Res to Conrad when he is attacked. This helps the case of Conrad being a good enemy phase bait as he has the ability to absorb a good amount of damage.

Debuff a Strong Offensive Unit on Enemy Team

Chill Atk 3 inflicts -7 Atk on the enemy unit with the highest Atk stat. This is very important as it decreases the damage of one of the most powerful attackers on the opposite team. However, the debuff only lasts until their next action, so if they are granted another action through Galeforce or a refresher-assist skill, the debuff will cease and they can attack without the -7 Atk.

This indirectly adds to Conrad's ability to absorb and surivive damage as it decreases the amount of damage the enemy team can dish out!

Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons

Conrad takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

Obtain through a Grand Hero Battle

Conrad is a Hero who, for a limited time, can be obtained through completing a Grand Hero Battle for the first time. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.
