When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Geoffrey are +Atk and -Res. His Atk is among the highest in the game and is worth investing into in order to secure kills easier. His Spd, while still high at base 40, is not enough to outspeed the fastest units in the metagame without assistance from his allies, and is therefore best left as a neutral stat.
His Res is below average and is a safe bane to take as it will not impact any of his matchups.
We recommend +Atk when merging Geoffrey up to +10 in order to maximize his knockout potential.

Geoffrey is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Geoffrey's exclusive Queenslance grants bonus Atk/Spd/Def/Res equal to 5 plus the highest bonus on each stat between himself and his support partner and 40% damage reduction on his foe's first attack.
If a bonus is active on Geoffrey, it also grants him 【Canto (Rem. +1)】 and denies his foe's follow-up attacks.
The best effects of Queenslance are reliant on Geoffrey having an active 【Bonus】, which he can ensure easily by triggering his native Atk/Def Menace.
As mentioned above, the best effects of Queenslance are reliant on Geoffrey having an active 【Bonus】. Without an active bonus, Queenslance becomes a stat-stick weapon which can be lacking compared to other modern meta weapons.

Geoffrey is a Lance cavalry unit, a weapon/movement combo that is fairly common in the game.
He suffers from having fierce competition from similar units, particularly those with additional effects that make them great choices above the other options. A good example is Brave Chrom, who stands out by having A Fate Changed! on top of his own combat prowess.
Geoffrey takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
