What Kind of Character Are They? | ・ Weapon skill grants a guaranteed follow-up attack, debuffs Atk/Def and inflicts Panic on foes. |
Might: 16 Range: 1 Grants Atk+3. At start of turn, inflicts Atk/Def-6 and 【Panic】 on foe on the enemy team with the highest Atk+Def total and foes within 2 spaces of that foe through their next actions. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, inflicts Atk/Def-6 on foe during combat and unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack. |
Cooldown Count = 4 Boosts Atk by 50%. |
At start of combat, if foe’s HP = 100% or if【Penalty】is active on foe, grants Atk/Def+5 to unit during combat. 【Penalty】 All effects that last "on foe through its next action." Includes penalties inflicted by a skill like Panic or Threaten and negative status effects (preventing counterattacks, restricting movement, or the effects of a skill like Triangle Adept or Guard). |
Allies within 2 spaces gain: "If foe uses bow, dagger, magic or staff, grants Def/Res +4 during combat." |
Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |
---|---|---|
HP (19) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Atk (13) | ★★★★★ | |
Spd (4) | ★★☆☆☆ | |
Def (9) | ★★★★☆ | |
Res (6) | ★★★☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Jeralt will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Jeralt are +Atk and -Spd. His Atk is a superboon and is applied twice due to the follow-up attack granted by Breaker Lance. Furthermore, his base Atk is very high at 43 and boosting it with a superboon brings it up to 47. Fully investing into him with Dragonflowers and merges can bring it all the way up to 52, which becomes 71 when his Breaker Lance is equipped!
His Spd is the least important stat because it isn't high enough to guarantee avoiding doubles against faster units. The guaranteed follow-up attack also alleviates this problem. Thus, it is the safe bane to take.
We recommand a +Atk IV when merging Jeralt to +10 for similar reasons above.

Jeralt makes an amazing frontline bulky attacker with his high Atk/Def stats. Atk Smoke 4 denies enemy follow-up attacks and debuffs his enemies to enhance his dual Atk/Def Catch skills.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Jeralt is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Jeralt's exclusive weapon Breaker Lance will definitely break his enemies with its 19 Mt, guaranteed follow-up attack, the Atk/Def-6 visble debuff and in-combat debuffs, and 【Panic】 debuffs to his foes.
Not only does he improve his damage output with a high Mt weapon and up to -12 Def to his foes, he also improves his bulk by up to -12 Atk debuffs as well.
Jeralt's base Atk of 43 is also incredibly high for a free-to-play unit, especially once his 19 Mt weapon is taken into account. Jeralt is an excellent bulky offensive unit that will have no trouble finishing off enemies.
Unfortunately, enemies with 【Null Follow-Up】 effects can deny Jeralt's guaranteed follow-up, leaving him reliant on his below average 26 Spd during combat.
When you consider that enemies that have this effect tend to be speedy, Jerant will be outmatched by these foes.
Jeralt takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
Should You Unlock Potential for this Hero? |

Jeralt has Atk/Def Catch 3 and Distant Guard 3 as inheritance options.
While Atk/Def Catch 3 is nice bridge fodder for the rarer Atk/Def Catch 4, Jeralt is an amazing free unit. Strongly consider building him up before using him as fodder.
