When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Mycen are +Def and -Spd. Boosting Def improves Mycen's overall bulk by increasing his stats and improving the debuff effect of Worldly Lance.
Spd is a clear dump stat and no amount of investment will be able to salvage it. Thus, it is a safe bane to take.
We recommend +Def when merging Mycen up to +10 for similar reasons above.

Mycen is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Mycen's exclusive weapon, Worldly Lance, grants Def/Res+6 and a Dull effect which neutralizes foe's bonuses during combat at the start of each turn.
In combat, Worldly Lance inflicts Atk/Def-X onto Mycen's foe, where X is equal to 20% of Mycen's Def at the start of combat. Worldly Lance also grants Mycen a guaranteed follow-up attack and slows down his foe's Special cooldown charges per attack.
These effects improve Mycen's defensive prowess and helps ensure he can withstand multiple attacks in combat.
Mycen's base Spd is at a very low base 16, and with no effects that prevent his foe's follow-up attacks, virtually any foe will generate a follow-up attack when facing Mycen in combat.
Mycen will be incredibly reliant on his overall bulk in order to withstand his foe's attacks.
Mycen takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
