Garl Vinland Overview

The first time you engage Garl Vinland is when you confront the archdemon, Maiden Astraea, where he serves as her protector. You can defeat Garl normally or defeat the Maiden Astaea and then load the game. You'll find out Garl killed himself. Either wayy, drops the following: Dark Silver Shield, Dark Silver Helmet, Dark Silver Armor, Dark Silver Gauntlets, and Dark Silver Leggings. All of these items together are very heavy so make sure you're able to carry a lot of weight before you either kill him or go to look for his loot.

Garl Vinland World Event

After you've collected the Pureblood Demon's Souls, you can do a special quest involving Garl. In Pure White World Tendency, you can find Black Phantom Garl Vinland in Maden Astraea's area. When killed, he will drop Bramd and the Crest of Vinland. The Crest can be given to his sister Selen for the Ring of Devout Prayer.
