This is a guide about the best starter builds in Demon's Souls (DS) Remake for the PS5. Read on to see the best weapons for each buil, the best early game weapons, and where to find them.

Best Early Game Weapons
| Crescent Falchion | Attributes A strong weapon not just for the early game but for the later stages of the game too. Location - 4-1 Shrine of Storms. |

| Estoc | Attributes Large Damage Bonus from the Fatal upgrade path Locations - Tower of Latria 3-1 |
| Uchigatana | Attributes - Has an A dexterity scaling when upgraded to the Sharp upgrade path. - Fragile so be mindful of it's durability. Locations - Shrine of Storm 4-1 |
| Kris Blade | Attributes Increases damage dealt by magic attacks but lowers magic defense.Locations -Stonefang Tunnel 2-1 |
| Blessed Mace | Attributes - An early weapon with the blessing upgrade. - Provides passive health regeneration. Locations -Valley of Defilement 5-1 |
Obtainable After Clearing Boletaria 1-1
All the weapons mentioned above can be obtained after clearing the first area of Boletarian Palace. Once all the arch stones become accessible, simply go to the area of the said weapon you wish to use for your demon hunting adventure.
Best Area 2 Weapons

Both Are Great Weapons For Progressing The Game
The Dragon Longsword is great for taking out most enemies, especially the ones in the Shrine of Storms and Valley of Defilement. While it doesn't scale with any stats, upgrading it to +4 or +5 will make its fire damage high enough to help you out even in the endgame.
The Mirdan Hammer is good not just for PVE but also at PVP. Both weapons can serve you well so do try to get them if possible.
Best Weapons For Strength Builds

| Knight Sword |
Attributes One of the strongest among the straight sword category. Locations -Boletarian Palace 1-3 or 1-4. |
| Great Axe |
Attributes High Attack damage but slow. Locations -Stonefang Tunnel 2-2 |
Upgrade Them to the Crushing Upgrade Path
The Crushing upgrade path provides additional scaling to strength. With a high amount of strength, these weapons can decimate foes in a single hit.

Attributes - A curved sword that can easily be used offensively. - Easy to get. Locations -4-1: Shrine of Storms |
| Flamberge |
Attributes A large sword but has great dexterity scaling. Locations -Tower of Latria 3-2 |
Upgrade Most of These Weapons to the Sharp Upgrade Path
The Sharp upgrade path increases the weapon's Dexterity scaling. This makes these weapons great for characters whose stats are invested into dexterity. In addition to the said weapons, Dexterity characters can also use Bows efficiently so it is highly suggested to have a one as a secondary weapon.

| Insanity Catalyst |
Attributes Provides insane magic damage but halves MP pool. Locations -Upgrade a catalyst using the Yellow Demon's Soul. |
| Talisman of Beasts |
Attributes Ability to use both Sorcery and Miracles. Locations - Reward from Mephistopheles - Dropped by Blackphantom Scirvir |
| Kris Blade |
Attributes - Improves Magic Damage but reduces Magic defense. - Equip in your offhand when casting spells Locations -Stonefang Tunnel 2-1 |
| Crescent Falchion |
Attributes - Has a great magic scaling - Easy to obtain. Locations -Shrine of Storms 4-1 |
Moon Upgrades and Crescent Upgrades Are the Ideal Upgrade Path
The Moon upgrade path and the Cresent upgrade path both scale with your Magic stat. The Moon upgrade lowers the strength and dexterity scaling while the Crescent completely removes it. The tradeoff is that the Crescent upgrade path provides MP regeneration while the Crescent does not. Both upgrade tree can deal magic damage upon attack.

| Large Sword of Moonlight |
Attributes A large sword that specializes in faith. Locations - Valley of Defilement 5-2 |
| Great Sword |
Attributes A very large sword that is much more fit to be upgraded to the Blessed tree. Locations - Boletarian Palace 1-3 |
Blessed Upgrade Path is Best for Pure Faith Builds
The blessed weapons scale with your faith stat and it also provides a good amount of passive health regeneration. In addition to your healing spells and some stat allocated to Vitality, Faith builds with blessed weapons are nigh unkillable.
Crescent Is Great for Balanced Faith and Magic Builds
The Crescent upgrade path is also great for a balanced magic and faith build. This works as the MP regeneration can be used either for unleashing spells against the enemy or using healing spells for yourself. The flexibility this build provides is great and the damage isn't lacking either.
