This is the story walkthrough for Outpost Passage, the tutorial in the Demon's Souls Remake (DS) for PS5. Keep reading for maps, tips on how to complete this stage, a list of NPCs, and items that can be found!

| ① | Upon gaining control of your character, simply follow the path and check the bloodstains to gain information about the game's controls. |

| ② | Upon reaching the outside area, check the walls to the left to find a lootable corpse. You can jump from that area to proceed to your next destination. |
| ③ | There will be some enemies in the area. Keep your guard up and eliminate them one by one while looking for the Archstone. Once found, touch it to teleport to the next area. |
| ④ | The next area will be home to stronger enemies. Make sure to utilize your weapon's strong attacks or Ripostes to easily dispatch them. |
| ⑤ | The path, again, is pretty linear. After reaching the second fog door, you'll be face to face with the Vanguard. |
Make sure to not jump through immediately lest you fail to claim the item from the corpse.

The bloodstains are pretty much the game's tutorial. They teach all the basic controls you'll need to avoid dying (good luck!).
There are several stages in Demon's Souls that use the game's darkness to launch surprise attacks against you. Keep your guard up to avoid potential ambushes!
You don't necessarily need to reach the Vanguard and die to complete the tutorial. Simply dying anywhere on the tutorial will immediately have your soul trapped in the Nexus.
After defeating the supposed to be boss that will end your tutorial, you will be able to proceed a little bit further to claim some juicy items. They aren't necessarily game-changing but they are a nice bonus for the effort given to slay your first mighty demon.
