How to Beat the Phalanx

The Phalanx is an enemy that offers no damage capabilities, the only enemies you'll be fighting in this area is the Hoplites that are actually protecting the main body. Eliminate the hoplites to emerge victorious!

One way to defeat the Phalanx using Firebombs and Pine Resin!

Use Firebombs to Eliminate the Hoplites Buffing with Pine Resin is Also Effective When Fighting In Melee, Attack the Hoplites on Their Backs The Main Body Has Zero Ways to Damage You Roam The Area to Scatter the Hoplites

Use Firebombs to Eliminate the Hoplites

When starting the boss fight, first take out the Hoplites by throwing Firebombs. If you keep throwing Firebombs until all the Hoplites are defeated, the fight will become quite easy.

Buffing with Pine Resin is Also Effective

Phalanx is weak to fire, so buffing your weapon with Pine Resin will make your attacks much more effective.

When Fighting In Melee, Attack the Hoplites on Their Backs

When attacking the hoplites, you won't want to hit the enemy head on. The hoplites have shields on their faces which reduces the damage you deal to them. Circle around to their back before launching an offensive!

The Main Body Has Zero Ways to Damage You

Once you have slain all the Hoplites, you'll notice that the Phalanx is just a harmless boss. it has no defensive abilities nor offensive ones. Hack at it slowly until it falls.

Roam The Area to Scatter the Hoplites

The main body will repeat the pattern of approaching you the moving away from you. The Hoplites attached to the Phalanx will slowly be scattered on the field if you keep on roaming and luring the Phalanx. Once scattered, the Hoplites will be easier to kill one by one.
