How to Clear Hiding in the Sand Request Walkthrough
This is a guide to completing Hiding in the Sand, a request in New Pokemon Snap (Pokemon Snap 2) for the Nintendo Switch. Here you can find what kind of photo you need, and how to take it, in order to clear Hiding in the Sand, as well as the reward!

How to Clear Hiding in the Sand
Take the Hidden Beach Route
The Pokemon you'll need to take a photo of for this request, Stunfisk and Octillery, are at the end of the hidden beach alternate route. You can, technically, do the request without entering the hidden beach, but it'll be incredibly difficult to pull off the trigger action for the request.
Scan to Reveal Stunfisk
When you're approaching the Octillery that's underwater, use scan mode to make the Stunfisk pop out from beneath the sand.
Throw Fluffruit above Stunfisk
You have to throw fluffruit at Stunfisk to make it electrocute Octillery. Throw the fluffruit directly above Stunfisk. The fluffruit will land on the surface of the water, then sink down to the bottom a few seconds later. The fluffruit has to land on Stunfisk for the request to work.
Capture Stunfisk Shocking Octillery
After the fluffruit lands on Stunfisk, it will produce one shock of electricity. This is not the photograph that will fulfill the request. Immediately after the first shock, Stunfisk will produce a second, larger shock of electricity. Snap a photo of this moment and make sure to include Octillery in the shot. Doing so will fulfill the request.

Eye 4
The Eye 4 sticker is obtained after completing the Returning to the Sea request and can be used when editing photos.
