You can take a 1 Star photo of Weavile right at the start of the Snowfields (Day) course at Research Level 3 by tossing Fluffruit near the Weavile to your right. Wait until the Weavile finishes eating the Fluffruit and starts to calm down. Once the Weavile is calm, take its photo.

You can take a 2 Star photo of Weavile in Research Level 3 of Snowfields (Day) by leading it to the tree with markings on it using Fluffruit, similar to the steps to completing the Message from a Friend request. However, when Weavile momentarily pauses at a tree midway to the one with markings on it. Take a close-up photo as it examines the tree.
