How to Take Primarina 1 Star Photo

For the 1 Star photo of Primarina, simply get a close-up shot of it swimming! Primarina appears in Beach (Night) and Reef (Evening), but it's easier to catch a close-up photo of Primarina swimming in Reef (Evening). Primarina swims quite fast, so use Turbo mode to get closer to it.

How to Take Primarina 2 Star Photo

Hit by a Fluffruit

To get Primarina's 2 Star Photo, you need to throw an Illumina Orb at the Primarina found on a rock in the distance at the beginning of Beach (Night) at Research Level 2.

After throwing the Illumina Orb, take the alternate route and Primarina should appear on a rock next to a Crystabloom.

Hit the Pokemon with a Fluffruit and then take its photo to get its 2 Star Diamond Photo.

How to Take Primarina 3 Star Photo

Singing Along

You can get the 3 Star Photo by following the same steps when taking its 2 Star Photo.

Instead of throwing a Fluffruit, play the Melody to make Primarina sing. Take a photo of it singing to get its 3 Star Diamond Photo.

How to Take Primarina 4 Star Photo

Primarina's performance

You can get this 4 Star photo while completing the request Sitting and Waiting. In Beach (Night), you'll need to throw an Illumina orb at Primarina far off the shore of the first area. Doing so will allow you to encounter it giving a performance on the route through the hidden beach.

At this location, throw an Illumina orb at the crystabloom beside Primarina and it will put its arms up while singing. Snap a photo of Primarina with its arms up to achieve a 4 Star photo!
