The bane of most buffers and debuffers in the game, Nina is one of the most annoying witches to fight due to her ability to absorb buffs, reflect debuffs, and cut or outright dodge all attacks that come her way. This makes her a mainstay in many teams, regardless of mode or strategy.

I Hate You!!

Nina's active skills are the reason why she hard-counters every team that relies on buffs and status-shredding debuffs. Witches who rely on supportive skills to boost their allies' performance are at risk of having their buffs stolen by Nina. On the other hand, those who rely on debuffs to weaken enemy teams are at a similar risk of just having it reflected back at them.

These skills aren't perfect, however. For one, Nina cannot steal buffs that cannot be dispelled. And while Nina can certainly just throw debuffs back to enemy teams, she cannot do so when she is afflicted by action-hindering debuffs. Additionally, she can only reflect buffs that are afflicted on her. In other words, she cannot do so for debuffs that afflict her teammates instead.

I Can Still Walk

Both of Nina's passives are designed to keep her in battle for as long as possible. Her "I Can Still Walk" skill is particularly troublesome, as it not only boosts her evasion by a staggering percentage but also severely cuts any damage that gets past it.

Not all hope is lost, however, because somehow, Nina's evasion also serves to somewhat check her "I Hate You!!" skill. After all, debuffs cannot be applied if she dodges the attack.

Matilda's accuracy buffs cannot be absorbed by Nina and can enable a player's attackers to reliably deal damage to the latter.

Regardless of the risk usually posed on players by inflicting Nina with debuffs, she is still weak to getting disabled by action-hindering debuffs such as Fainted, Silence, and Sleep.

Witch Illya

Witch Illya is an insanely powerful witch who can simply focus-fire Nina's position and immediately knock her out due to her +50% chance to hit buff. On top of that, all of her passive buffs cannot be dispelled, allowing her free reign over the battle once her God's Curse Unleashed buff activates.

One way to deal with Nina and the rest of her team is to bombard them with action-hindering debuffs. Meanwhile, Witch Illya and Paladea can take their time whittling the enemy down.

Witches Not To Use Against Nina

Cordie

Cordie is not only very fast but also possesses one of the strongest Exclusive Weapon effects in the game. However, the defense-shredding debuff she gains can be reflected by the much slower Nina, allowing the latter's teammates to exploit the opportunity and destroy Cordie's.

Elfriede

As a witch who scales off the debuffs her allies can inflict and the buffs her allies gain, Elfriede and her team can easily crumble under the pressure that Nina's kit provides.

Dian

One thing to note about Dian's Increased Evasion Chance buff is that it can be dispelled. Understandably, the last thing you want is for Nina to absorb that buff, which will make her even harder to kill.

Tips for Beating Nina

Avoid Using Defensive Buffs That Can Be Dispelled

Considering that one of Nina's main strengths is her staying power, letting her absorb defensive buffs will only make her harder to defeat.

Stack Up ACC

Runes, gears, and buffs that increase an attacker's accuracy or skills that guarantee a hit are all effective ways to knock Nina out.

Stack Up EVD

Runes, gears, and undispellable buffs that increase a team's evasion can help prevent Nina from absorbing buffs or reflecting her debuffs. After all, she can't use her skills' secondary effects if they don't hit.
