Just saw a recent video of somebody using Himeko in moc fl 9 and she was doing just fine. I don't have Hook but I tried her as a trial character and she's pretty fun and entertaining to use. Unfortunately, I only have Himeko so I've been building her up. I guess like all characters, if you build them right, they'll do you right. Recently, I used somebody's Qingque as a support and even though a lot of people don't have a high opinion of her, she did some really great damage.
Poor Himeko only shines on the weakest enemy's while Hook can be used for everything else. Himeko High C low B feels like a 4 star Hook S highly useful as a Main DPS till we get a Fire Hunt character
If Hoyo introduced enemies weak to fire with really weak toughness bars but very high HP, I wonder if this would make Himeko a stronger DPS given what her talent does.
If we're talking overall DPS for Hook, sure she'd do more damage than Himeko. Certain situations call for certain characters though. You never know when Hoyo will come out with a situation which requires you to kill say 3 enemies in a turn or else your whole team will become afflicted with DOTs. Anyway, don't read into people's comments too much and just enjoy the characters you like. It's just a single player game after all lol.
I hate when people say erudition characters like Himeko are only good against low hp trash mobs. I mean yeah they destroy them because they're low hp mobs. However, they're still really good in content like moc. I've seen people use Qingque, Serval, and other AOE characters without any problems in moc.
thats the thing himeko only good against trash low hp mobs. her single target dmg against elite enemies are nonexistent. hook is better dps overall cuz of her higher single target dmg while covering some aoe.

fr agreed! They said dps this and eidolons that for Hook but then fails to mainly mention how Hook and Himeko deal damage differently. If they're reading this, these are the facts: Himeko specializes in AOE and is an erudition character. Hook specializes in single target and is a destruction character. Yes, Hook has AOE but she needs to use her ultimate first and then use her skill. If you're fighting mobs, Himeko will already have wiped the floor by the time Hook activates her AOE.

Well, her 'student' kill her in plot and META. But before Flaming tuna patch, her VK variant are very good for single dps

Whoa guy, calm down, I think that other guy got confused. Hook specializes in single-target dps with some multi-target. Himeko is just multi-target. They both do their jobs very well.
should i repeat myself for you? Hook outdps Himeko and its completely over for Himeko when your Hook have some Eidolons. No one used Hook in the beta so they buffed Hook a lot and she is currently the best Fire DPS.
