It is important to go straight along the rope on floor 5 to avoid falling off. However, by dropping from the middle of the rope, you can go to an unreachable location on floor 4 and obtain a Zen Scroll from the treasure chest. This is a valuable item as it lets you change a character's job to Sage, so be sure to get it.
Defeating a bunch of Metaly in the upper levels of Tower of Transcendence will give you a lot of experience points, so encountering this fight is recommended. It is effective to attack with Poison Needles when dealing with these monsters, so make sure to use them.
