The Boss Troll does a lot of physical damage, especially if you're hit by a Desperate Attack. Make sure that you increase your party's defense with Kabuff to minimize the damage of the Boss Troll's attacks.
As a note, your party's defense will be reduced whenever the Boss Troll uses Kasap, so you'll need to refresh Kabuff whenever this happens.
Kasap is very threatening since you'll take increased damage from the Boss Trolls attacks. Cast Fizzle to stop it from casting Kasap and dropping your party's defense.
The Boss Troll's Desperate Attack does more damage than regular enemies, and can do over 200 damage in one hit. Try to keep your party's HP full, especially your Priest or Sage so that they can cast Zing on any KO'd party member.

Since the Boss Troll is a pure physical attacker, you'll want to have as high of a defense as possible. Purchase new equipment in Samanao and equip everyone with the highest defense equipment that you can get.
