Three difficulty settings are available for players in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. Find out all the differences between the difficulties and learn the best difficulty settings for your playstyle!
List of Contents
Difficulty | Description |
---|---|
Dracky Quest | For players who want to focus purely on the story. Battles pose no threat of death. |
Dragon Quest | For players who want to breeze through battles. |
Draconian Quest | The standard difficulty, where battles will thrill and challenge. |
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake offers three difficulty modes, namely Dracky Quest, Dragon Quest, and Draconian Quest.
Each difficulty setting gives players a chance to experience the game in multiple forms, from wanting to focus solely on the story, to focusing on fully optimizing one's party to take on hard-hitting enemies.
We recommend players to choose either Dragon Quest or Draconian Quest mode for their playthrough of the remake.
Dracky Quest can be too easy even for players new to the Dragon Quest series so we recommend either of the harder options to make your journey more exciting!
The player will deal increased damage and some bosses will not automatically recover HP. These are for players who want to focus on story and not on the gameplay.
The player will have the default damage amount and the XP and gold drops are at their default options. These are for players who want somewhat of a balance between both story and gameplay.
All bosses will have increased HP, and will be tankier than usual and reward less XP and gold. These are for players familiar with Dragon Quest's gameplay and want a challenge during the story campaign.
Players can change their difficulty settings on the system settings menu. Here, players are able to switch between the three difficulty modes to see what best suits their playstyle upon playthrough.
