How to Beat Zoma

• Use the Light Ball on Turn 1
• Keep Insulatle Active at All Times
• Increase Damage with Oomph and Sap
• Bring Yggdrasil Leaves
• Spam Sage's Stone for Healing

Use the Sphere of Light on Turn 1

Zoma will have a Shroud of Shadows active at the start of the battle. This gives him numerous powerful buffs, so you'll want to dispel it as soon as possible by using the Sphere of Light.

Effects of Removing the Shroud of Shadows

1. Removes HP recovery per turn.
2. Reduces Zoma's stats.
3. Damaging spells are more effective.

Keep Insulatle Active at All Times

Zoma's most threatening attack is Freezing Blizzard, which is a Breath-based Ice attack. Have Insulatle active as much as possible so that you don't have to waste extra turns and MP healing up the party.

Even if Zoma can remove Insulatle with Disruptive Wave, it's still worth casting every time since Freezing Blizzard deals a lot of damage.

Increase Damage with Oomph and Sap

Cast Oomph on your party and Sap on Zoma to maximize the damage that he takes. Even the effects can be removed with Disruptive Wave, it's still worth casting these spells every time.

Check if Bounce is Active Before Casting Sap

Make sure only cast Sap if Bounce isn't active, otherwise, the defense drop will be reflected back to one of your party members.

Bring Yggdrasil Leaves

It's best to bring as many Yggdrasil Leaves as possible in case you need to revive a party member, especially if your party is low on MP. Put them in the bags of party members with high Agility, or characters who can't cast Zing spells.

Spam Sage's Stone for Healing

To preserve MP, you'll want to use the Sage's Stone every turn to keep everyone's HP topped up. However, if your healing can't keep up with Zoma's damage, use the Hero's Omniheal to fully heal the entire party.

Hero	・Strongest physical attacker after Oomph buff. ・Casts Omniheal when the entire party is very low on HP.
Warrior	Reclass: Mage - Warrior ・Cast Oomph on damage dealers. ・Carries Yggdrasil Leaves in case of emergency revivals.
Sage	Reclass: Priest - Sage ・Main buffer and debuffer. ・Prioritize casting Insulatle, Oomph, and Sap over heals.
Sage	Reclass: Jester - Sage ・Main healer of the team. ・Can use Kafrizz when not using Sage's Stone or Multiheal.

Recommended Equipment

As a note, the Hero should still be equipped with the King's Sword, Hero's Shield, and Light Armor.
