There are several ways to revive dead party members in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, such as resurrection spells, revival items, and more. Learn how to revive your party and what happens if you die in battle here!
Churches in Dragon Quest 3 provide various services to the player, one of which is resurrecting a party member in exchange for gold.
This gold price will depend on the player's level so take note that the price will fluctuate depending on where you are in the main campaign.
Zing and Kazing are resurrection spells learnt by the Priest and Sage Vocations at Level 21. Zing costs 10 MP and revives a party member at half health, while Kazing revives them at full health but costs 20 MP.

Using the rare Yggdrasil Leaf item on a party member will allow this member to be brought back into the fight at full HP. Note that Yggdrasil Leaves are extremely rare and cannot be purchased in any store.
Yggdrasil Leaves can only be found in chests while exploring, or rarely dropped by monsters so we do not recommend using them freely.

When a party member falls in battle, they will not be able to participate in battle until they've been revived back.
After the battle, dead party members will not be revived and will need to be resurrected in a Church.*
Party members who die in battle will still receive EXP but cannot level up during that battle.
Their EXP bar will be maxed out instead and they will level up after the next battle they survive.
If, at any point, all party members fall in battle, a game over screen will occur and the player will have to repeat the battle.
As the easiest game mode in the remake, Dracky Quest will keep the player alive at 1 HP during the battle. You will not need to revive them in a church or with items or spells if you are in the Dracky Quest difficulty.
