List of Contents
There are countless Personalities that the player can receive at the start of the game.
We highly recommend getting the Vamp or the Tough Cookie Personalities for your Hero during the Personality Quiz as these Personalities give the most stat bonus to your player character and will help build them more efficiently.
Before you set out to your journey, it's best for you to fill out your party completely at Patty's Party Planning Place. You will be able to bring along 3 more party members on your journey.
These party members will be customizable, down to appearance and vocations so make sure to pick them up from Patty!
Sparkly Spots are found all around the world and contain valuable loot. Keep an eye out for these blue sparkling spots on the ground!
When farming for levels or gold, we recommend staying near a city. A city will contain an inn for the party to rest at and heal their HP and MP to continue farming.
As with any Dragon Quest game, it is best for players to equip and upgrade their best gear constantly to keep up with the difficulty of the game.
A simple equipment upgrade might be the key to defeating a boss that has been stonewalling your progress!
Mini medals are found all over the world and can be exchanged for rare equipment for your party.
Keep an eye out for these Mini Medals when exploring dungeons and the world!
The Thief's Key is a valuable key item and is obtainable through the first dungeon, the Dreamer's Tower.
This allows the player to unlock all Red Doors in the world, which usually contains books that allows the player to change Personalities.
If you need a quick way out if you're in a pickle, use the spell Evac to quickly teleport out of towns and dungeons.
If you find yourself low on HP, MP and items in the middle of the dungeon, be sure to use this spell to get out of that place in a jiffy.
Battling and farming can take long so we recommend putting your battle speed at the maximum level, to allow for battles to breeze through quickly.
Through the strategy menu, players can turn on Autorun to make exploring around the game easier and faster.
Throughout exploration, you will find chests, shiny spots, or monsters that drop Seeds. These Seeds are valuable and rare and allow the player to raise their raw stats or their max HP or MP.
Use these Seeds to improve your character furthur to take down more challenging content!
Dragon Quest 3 gives the player three different difficulty levels to tackle the game in, giving them different options on how they want to experience the main campaign.
Players can opt to only focus on story and make battles a breeze to go through or give themselves a challenge throughout their journey. Make sure to choose the best difficulty for your playstyle!
Difficulty Differences and How to Change
Vocations give the player flexibility to build their best party and to experiment with different team compositions. Visiting Alltrades Abbey will give the player the option to switch their party members' Vocations and continue expanding on their member's skills and abilities.
Keep your journey interesting by switching your party composition up!
