Only a physical copy of the game can be acquired for the Nintendo Switch priced at $59.99 from your local retailers as its digital copy is not available on the Nintendo eShop.
Collector's Edition Only Available For Console Versions
The Collector's Edition is only available for console versions of the game and is exclusively purchased from the Square Enix Store.

Best Platform to Play Dragon Quest HD-2D Remake
Best Played on a Console
The best platform to play Dragon Quest III: Seeds of Salvation is on a console, as it is intended to be played with a controller.
You may choose to play it on a PS5 or an Xbox for a more traditional console experience. Alternatively, playing it on the Nintendo Switch offers the added benefit of portability, allowing you to enjoy the game on the go.

If you do intend to play the Steam version of the game on PC, we recommend using a controller for a better experience if you are able to.

Originally Released on the NES
The original version of the game, Dragon Quest 3: Seeds of Salvation, was initially released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) on February 10, 1998.
Since then, it has been remade numerous times on multiple Nintendo consoles such as the Game Boy Color Nintendo Wii, 3DS, and Switch, mobile ports of the game for both iOS and Android devices also exist and are still available to play for western audiences.
