Reach Level 12 with Mage or Sage

Zoom is learned automatically by either Mage or Sage at Level 12, and by the Hero at Level 14.

This is your version of fast travel in game, and is only usable outdoors, compared to the version in Dragon Quest 11.

How To Use Zoom

Teleport Instantaneously to Previously Visited Places

Dragon Quest 3 - Zoom From Spell Menu
Zoom allows players to teleport to any previously visited areas in the game. This spell also resets the time to daytime in game.

To add locations to the list of possible places to use Zoom, players must visit the location at least once before it gets added to the list.

You Can Use Zoom Through the Map Menu

Dragon Quest 3 - Zoom From Map Menu
Zoom can also be used in the Map Menu. Since this is less troublesome way to use Zoom over opening the Spell Menu, this is the recommended way to fast travel.
