EXP Farming: How to Level Up Fast

Equip Elevating Shoes

Equipment Description
Elevating Shoes Footwear that enhances experience with every single step.

The Elevating Shoes is a pre-order bonus that allows players to gain experience for each step they take in the overworld.

This is best for players still in the early game, as this allows for easier grinding while your required EXP for leveling up is not too high yet.

However, this item is only available as a pre-order bonus so if players miss out on pre-ordering the game, they will miss out on this item.

How to Defeat Metal Slimes

Ways to Beat Metal Slimes

Use the Poison Needle

While the Poison Needle inflicts only one point of damage, it has a chance to instant kill an enemy. Equip all party members with this weapon to increase your chances of activating this effect and easily defeat the Metal Slimes.

Use Coagulant

The Coagulant item can confuse an enemy, making them unable to escape. There is also a chance that confused monsters will attack the other monsters, making it very effective in wiping out Metal Slimes.

Use the Headman's Axe

The Headman's Axe has low accuracy, but when it connects, it's always going to be a critical hit. We recommend equipping this weapon to the Warrior Class in your party.

Use the Puff! Spell

The Puff! spell can deal massive damage to Metal Slimes because of its fiery nature. The downside is that it takes one turn to transform into a dragon before you can attack, so we recommend you use the spell Acceleratle to characters with slow speed.

The Puff! spell can only be learned by the Sage and Mage Classes at Level 34.

Use Martial Artist Class Characters

Martial Artist Class characters have a high critical hit rate, so having them as your main offense in your party will ensure high damage against the Metal Slimes.

All DQ3 Classes: List of Jobs and Vocations

EXP is Allocated to the Whole Party

The experience points you gain are divided by the number of people in your party. With this in mind, to level up fast, reduce the number of people in your party and focus on the specific Job Class you want to level up.

Lower Difficulty Settings

If you lower your difficulty settings to Dracky, then you'll incur less damage from enemies and gain more additional damage output.

It is recommended to use this method if you don't have any particular preference in the difficulty setting of the game.

The best place to get XP during post-game is the King Hydras in the ??? area. If you are on "Dracky Quest" difficulty you cant die from them each one gives 24K experience points. Just run away if 3 of em show up. Fighting that many will mean they will keep putting you to sleep and you will get no where fast.
