When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd/-Res

The best IVs for Seteth are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Seteth to get a ton of follow-up attacks on his foes. It also protects him from hostile follow-up attacks. His Res of is less importance and thus safe to be taken as a bane.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Seteth to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. With it, he reaches an amazing 46 Spd if you include the Spd bonus of Spear of Assal at max merges. this allows him to score follow-up attacks on a wide range of units. If you plan to supplement his Spd with allied buffs, you can go for a +Atk IV instead.

How to Use, Explanation

This build uses the recoil from Fury 4 to activate Desperation and allow consecutive attacks for future engagements. Make sure to keep the unit alive after the first combat since they will be in exploitable HP ranges! Brazen Atk/Spd 3 will also be easily accessible thanks to this mechanic. Aether helps mitigate the damage as its cooldown will allow it to kick in once Seteth is already at dangerously low HP levels.

Seteth is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Seteth Strengths

Create a huge gap in offensive stats through Spear of Assal

Seteth's weapon, Spear of Assal, grants +4 Atk/Spd to Seteth and neutralizes the foe's bonuses to Atk/Spd. Both effects are active if he is within 2 spaces of an ally so it is pretty easy to activate. The boost and the neutralizing effect creates a huge Atk/Spd gap that allows Seteth to take less damage and most importantly a greater chance to land a follow-up attack.

Convenient allied Atk/Spd buff

In addition to the buffs to Seteth discussed above, Spear of Assal also grants +4 Atk/Spd in to allies within 2 spaces of Seteth. It is an easy-to-use effect that ensures that your whole team has boosted offensive stats. It completely stacks with skills like Drive Atk so consider getting said skill if you need Seteth to run an offensive support build.

Position Seteth in respect to both its effects to get a great Atk/Spd buff to your whole team.

Powerful Atk and Spd buff when HP gets low enough

Seteth's A Skill Brazen Atk/Spd will give him Atk/Spd+7 when his HP is below 80%. Taking damage increases his offensive stats so manage his match-ups properly and try to get into this HP range. It goes well with a skill like Vantage 3 so be sure to consider inheriting it onto Seteth!

It goes well with Vantage as they have very similar trigger conditions. If both are activated, Seteth will land a hard counterattack on the enemy before they are able to touch Seteth. If conditions are right, Seteth can take them out before they can hurt him even further!

As a flying unit, Seteth takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.
