+Spd/-Res

The best IVs for Shanna are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Shanna to prevent follow-up attacks and help her take advantage of her high Atk by being able to make follow-up attacks. This boosts both her offensive and survivability capabilities. With her mediocre Res stat, it can safely be taken as bane.

You could also go for a +Def IV for Shanna, as it also boosts her survivability against physical attacks.

How to Use, Explanation

A high-investment Galeforce-Sweep build for Shanna. If you can afford them, you can also opt for Trace skills in the B slot instead of Hit and Run. For the S slot, you can also opt for Flashing Blade 3 or Heavy Blade 3.

How to Use, Explanation

This build uses the recoil from Fury 4 to activate Desperation and allow consecutive attacks for future engagements. Make sure to keep the unit alive after the first combat since they will be in exploitable HP ranges! If she is able to win the Spd check with Flashing Blade 3, Shanna will hit very hard with her Shanna's Lance-boosted Luna!

How to Use, Explanation

This high investment build aims to use Shanna as a player phase nuke to eliminate her foes. Surge Sparrow will heal Shanna upon her Special activation, which works with her weapon's additional damage trigger.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Shanna's Lance

Upgrading Shanna's Lance with the Special Effect Upgrade essentially makes it a better version of Killer Lance. While the weapon already made it easier to trigger your special, upgrading it has the bonus effect of dealing +10 damage when the special does trigger. This means that she will have an easier time getting her speical out, and it will get a boost in damage output.

Shanna is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Not only does a Resplendent Attire give Shanna a new look, but it also grants +2 to all stats. In tight battles where every stat point counts, this means a lot!

Access to a powerful weapon refine

Shanna's Lance special effect refine simply allows her to deal +10 pure damage when her Special triggers. That effect combined with a low-cooldown Special, like Moonbow and a skill like Surge Sparrow. Will grant her both consistent pure damage, and good sustain. Quick follow-ups with Desperation

Desperation allows Shanna to do a follow-up attack before the enemy counterattacks if her HP has dropped below the threshold. If Shanna's damage is high enough, this allows her to easily take out enemies without taking damage.

Can Debuff Enemies with Threaten Spd

Threaten Spd debuffs the Spd of foes within 2 squares of Shanna. This debuff synergizes well with Desperation making it easy for Shanna to take out foes with a potenial double-attack from Desperation.

Additional damage through Iceberg

Shanna has access to the skill Iceberg, which adds 50% of her Res to her damage. If your other units have Fortify Res with them, they can boost both Shanna's damage and Res. Depending on the IV and build you are running with Shanna, you may consider swapping for another special however.

Shanna's Weaknesses

Weak against Bows

Since Shanna is a flying unit, she takes increased damage against bows. Be mindful of Shanna's positioning in relation to Bow-wielding enemies.

Banes on Atk and Spd

Since Shanna's role is around dealing damage with her attacks, Shannas that have their offensive stats compromised (-Atk or -Spd IVs) are lackluster units. Consider foddering them off or merging them into a Shanna with +Atk or +Spd IVs.
