The best IVs for Vaida are +Def and -Res. Vaida's Def is among the highest in the game at base 47, raised to 51 with a superboon. Boosting Def helps Vaida perform better as a flying bruiser unit.

Vaida is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Vaida Strengths

Spear is a great defensive weapon

Vaida's exclusive weapon with a straightforward name, Spear, has built-in Distant Counter and grants Vaida and nearby allies Atk/Def+6, an Iote's Shield effect, and a status that neutralizes foe's bonuses during combat.

In combat, Spear grants Vaida up to Atk/Spd/Def/Res+14 based on the number of foes within 3 rows or 3 columns, true damage equal to 10% of Vaida's Atk, and true damage reduction equal to 10% of Vaida's Atk.

The in-combat effects are fairly common, comparable to most modern weapons. However, the start-of-turn effects, while not overwhelmingly unique, are useful enough to give Vaida a niche as a physical tank that can support allies, especially flying allies.

Low Res

Vaida's low Res stat of only base 23 leaves her vulnerable to magic damage. One attack from a strong magic nuke can potentially defeat Vaida in one hit.

Keep her away from these foes to ensure her survival.

Weak to Bows

As a flying unit, Vaida takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.

However, if Spear successfully triggers, her flying weakness is neutralized.

Obtain through a Grand Hero Battle

Vaida is a Hero who, for a limited time, can be obtained through completing a Grand Hero Battle for the first time. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.
