When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Cynthia will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Spd/-Res

The best IVs for Cynthia are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Cynthia to get a ton of follow-up attacks on her foes. This is very important for her as she carries a Firesweep weapon. Her Res is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Cynthia to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. At this point, she will be able to reach a Spd of 44—a fair value which allows her to score follow-up attacks on a wide range of units.

Cynthia is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Cynthia Strengths

Prevents Counterattacks with Firesweep Lance+

Firesweep Lance+ makes Cynthia a formidable player phase unit as it prevents enemies from scoring counterattacks against her. Combined with her high Spd and Spd/Def Link 3, she can eliminate a wide range of units in the player phase without taking damage. The downside to this is that she too can not score counterattacks on enemies. This is not too crippling as with awareness and strategy, you can turn Cynthia into a player phase attacker that can easily sweep enemy teams.

Fling Allies into Combat and Buff Them Simultaneously!

Spd/Def Link 3 buffs Cynthia and any ally who uses a movement-assist skill or receives one from Cynthia by +6 Spd/Def. Since Cynthia has access to Shove, she can make use of this skill to push an ally deep into enemy danger zones while providing them with buffs.

But, as a Firesweeper, we recommend that it is Cynthia who receives the movement-assist skill for her to easily be able to take out units with enhanced stats!

Can buff allies' Atk

Cynthia's C Skill Drive Atk 2 will give a +3 Atk buff to her allies within 2 spaces. This lets her support allies just by being nearby, and equipping her with the sacred seal Drive Atk 2 or Spur Atk 3 can further increase the effects of this bonus.

As this does not affect Cynthia's Atk stat, like most C skills, make sure to equip your allies with buffs too. This is so that Cynthia enjoys boosts to her most important stats as well. The best strategies will almost always include some kind of synergy between units.

Weak to bows

As a flying unit, Cynthia takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.
