The best IVs for Lucina are +Atk and -Res. A higher Atk stat allows Lucina to one-shot dragon units effectively, the niche role wherein she does best. With her low Res stat, it is ideal for a bane stat.

How to Use, Explanation

Sealed Falchion is generally superior than Falchion, but if you want to run the latter in a build, make sure to refine it. Since Falchion's refine is a Bond-based trigger, then Summoners should build around that trigger condition to sets easy-to-use. In this set, her Atk/Spd are maximized and together with the Atk/Def Bond 3, and Spurn 3, she can fight lots of physical matchups and get potentially win. You could also take Distant Counter, Joint Hones, Joint Drives, and a healing Special to fit your needs.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a niche build for Masked Lucina that makes use of the Falchion effect, and Renewal 3 effects to give them sustain. This is so that she can abuse Reciprocal Aid to heal allies. You can also take double Breath of Life 3 to still trigger heals when Lucina attacks.

How to Use, Explanation

This build makes use of the superior refined Sealed Falchion over the refined Falchion to make the unit a ball of stats! The Spd stat with this build will be very high especially with merges, flowers and support so leverage that with Spurn 3 and Flashing Blade 3.

Source Heroes for All Skills

You can replace Falchion with a Sealed Falchion if you have the resources to do so. Though you might want to keep it for the Falchion Healer build as it helps with sustaining her health with Reciprocal Aid activations.

The special effect for Falchion grants Lucina +4 to all stats during combat when he is close to an ally. It's pretty easy to utilize, and since you will likely want a support unit nearby anyway, it is a good fit for her.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Sealed Falchion

With any upgrade you take for Sealed Falchion, it will make it easier to grab the +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res buff because it adds another trigger condition. If a bonus is active on Sealed Falchions wielder, they will now activate the buff too.

Additionally, and more imporantly, the sword will now grant an additional +5 Atk/Spd/Def buff during combat it the enemy is at least at 75% HP. It also blocks follow-up attacks from the enemy so this is a very valuable effect.

This is superior to the normal Falchion's special effect refine.

Lucina is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Lucina Strengths

Powerful weapon skill: Falchion

Falchion is strong against dragon characters such as Myrrh and Idunn. It deals 1.5x damage on dragon units such as the previously mentioned duo. In addition, Falchion heals Lucina for 10HP at the start of every odd-numbered turn. The effects are very straightforward and easy to utilize. The healing aspect of Falchion makes Lucina a great unit in consecutive battle maps such as Tempest Trials.

Special Refinement Available

Falchion has a special refinement effect, which grants Lucina +4 to all stats in combat whenever she is adjacent to allies. It synergizes well with Spur Def 3, so make sure to always be adjacent to allies when attacking. Avoid pairing Lucina with units that are stronger when they are alone such as L!Edelgard and Sothis.

Access to Sealed Falchion!

Falchion can be evolved to Sealed Falchion through the weapon refinery. It is a much stronger weapon compared to Lucina's default weapon so make sure to get it when you have the resources to do so. Read more about it in the Best Weapon Refinement section!

Powerful special skill

Aether treats foe's Def/Res as 50% of their original values and it heals her for half the damage dealt. It is one of the most powerful skills around, but its special cooldown counter is 5. However, if the attack is timed correctly, or you build her skillset around speeding it up, it can easily turn the tides of battle.

Spur Atk buffs allies

Spur Atk 3 grants a +4 Atk to allies who are in combat that are adjacent to Lucina. It's a flexible skill that doesn't need to meet its requirements at the turn start, so you can adjust the positioning of Lucina and her allies before attacking foes.

Lucina Weaknesses

Low defensive stats

Lucina's Spd is high allowing her to avoid many follow-up attacks. However, Lucina's Def is mediocre, and her Res is very low, so any attack she recieves will bring her down to very low HP. Avoid dealing with blue magic units and maybe pair her up with healer units.

Weak Against Anti-Infantry Skills

Lucina is infantry and therefore has low stats. If she is attacked by weapons like Poison Dagger+ that inflicts -6 Def/Res to her already low defense stats, she can be taken out easily.

Powerful magic units

Lucina has a low Res stat of 19 at Lv. 40, so you should avoid magic users that have high Atk. Even if Lucina's Falchion is strong aganst dragon units, you will have a hard time dealing with blue dragons like Legendary Tiki. If you attack her with Lucina, odds are that Lucina will be taken out in the counterattack. Leave units like her to other allies so Lucina can focus her firepower on easier to take down foes.
