When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Marth are +Atk and -Res. A higher Atk stat allows Marth to to one-hit most dragon foes, making it the most optimal one. However, Marth also has the highest Res out of all the Falchion users, so if you would rather use him as an enemy phase unit instead of a player phase one, you might be okay with a +Res IV instead.

This is a build utilizing Marth's weapon refine. Quick Riposte makes up for his rather low Spd when attacked, and having a bond skill further boosts his offensive power.

This is a budget build for Marth with minimal Skill Inheritance. Renewal gives him sustain, while double Drives help his allies.

SP: 400 | |
Might: 16 Range: 1 HP: +3 (Marth's Falchion) Effective against dragon foes. At start of odd-numbered turns, restores 10 HP. Grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+2 to allies within 2 spaces during combat. :500 :200 |
|
We recommend getting the special effect refinement for Falchion. This upgrade buffs allies within 2 squares of Marth with a +2 to all stats. Considering that it buffs all ally stats, it has a high range, and that it buffs all units regardless of weapon type or movement type, it is a very easy skill to trigger, and is great for support. On top of that, it will heal Marth on every odd numbered turn, as opposed to every third one.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Marth is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Marth's exclusive weapon, the Falchion, deals bonus damage against dragons and heals Marth for 10 HP at the start of every third turn. It is a strong weapon that provides great utility, especially when refined.
Falchion grants all units within 2 spaces of Marth with a +2 to all stats. As mentioned in the weapon refinement recommendation, we consider this as a very strong effect that is very easy to utilize.
Escape Route 3 allows Marth to warp to any adjacent ally if his HP is ≤ 50%. Combined with the healing ability of Falchion, Marth can survive certain situations impossible for many other units.
Marth is a well-balanced character, but he has a low Res stat compared to his other stats. Although not too incredibly low, Marth can take high damage from magic users if you are not careful with his positioning. Always be aware of Marth's positioning in relation to magic users that can deal high damage to him.

Over all the battles we’ve fought together, I have come to see my own powerlessness. As but one, I cannot accomplish anything. Together, we can face everything. That is why having you at my side gives me courage beyond the telling of it. I shall continue to fight at your side as long as you will allow me. I am eternally grateful that we may count on one another. |
