The Mace is a powerful weapon with blunt-type attacks. This type allows it to break armor and shields easier. Although it can be difficult to get, the Blessed Mace in the Valley of Defilement is a weapon worth having in your arsenal.
First head to the Valley of Defilement (5-1). When you get to the location below, drop from the circled part to access the Blessed Mace below.

The recommended upgrade path for mace is the Blessed Mace. However, since the game allows us to pick up one in Valley of Defilement, we recommend upgrading a regular mace with a different category..
If you can get the Blessed Mace early, it is an advantageous weapon with its auto-HP recovery and the increase in magic attack power. However, if you are using the Pure Strength build, the Crushing Mace version is better.
