Badlands (Day) Walkthrough: List of Pokemon and How to Unlock
Though the request can be completed in both the regular and alternate paths, the alternate route provides a better angle for the photograph.
On top of the toxic sludge volcano, you can find a Salazzle. Toss a Fluffruit at or near the Salazzle to scare it away. A moment after Salazzle leaves, a Koffing will bounce out of the volcano.
As the Koffing floats near Swalot, Swalot will open its mouth and try to swallow the Koffing. Quickly take a photo of the Pokemon before it spits Koffing out. Both Pokemon need to be in the frame to count for the request, but the focus of the shot must be on Swalot.
There are no obtainable rewards for completing this request.

Worked just fine for me. You need to wait a few seconds after it enters Swalot’s mouth because you need him doing the animation before he spits Koffing out. So wait until it’s in the mouth, wait a few seconds, and then shoot.
