As you descend the large chasm of the Cave, you can find several Clefairy on the ledges. To take the best 1 Star photo of Clefairy, you can start the course at Research Level 3, and find the lone Clefairy on the same ledge as Gengar. Wait until Gengar disappears and take a good close-up shot of the Clefiary.

As you descend the large chasm of the Cave at Research Level 2, you can spot two Clefairy sitting on two ledges, one higher than the other. As you approach closer, the Clefairy on the top ledge will stand up and wave at you. Take a photo of Clefairy as it waves to get a 2 Star photo.

You can take a 3 Star photo of Clefairy at the same spot as its 1 Star photo. Once you are close enough to the Pokemon, play the Meloy to make its wings glow. The Clefairy will momentarily float up in the air and dance. Take a photo of the floating Clefiary.

To get a 4 Star photo of Clefairy, you need to follow the steps to complete the Clefairy by Moonlight request and take a photo of the three Clefairy floating and dancing around the Crystabloom.
