What Happens When You Get a Game Over
EMMI are an enemy that Samus will encounter in specific spaces called EMMI Zones. EMMI can only be defeated by using the Omega Cannon. If Samus does not have the Omega Cannon, the EMMI should be avoided at all costs.
Samus can avoid detection by running from the EMMI or using Aeion Abilities like the Phantom Cloak. If captured, there are 2 chances to counter the EMMI attack and escape, but both require extremely precise timing.

Post Game Content Guide: Is There a New Game Plus?
Samus will lose most or her physical capabilities at the start of the game, leaving her with only basic abilities. Mastering these skills will be the key to surviving the harsh environment and deadly EMMI threat found on Planet ZDR.
You can free aim at any time by holding down the L button and moving the left analog stick. This ability is best used when you need to accurately aim to hit a target, or when you are required to use missiles.
The drawback is that Samus is almost completely immobile when free aiming. You can still jump while free aiming, but only vertically, with no horizontal mobility.
To perform a wall jump, Samus' first jump towards the wall must have a certain amount of horizontal momentum and she will begin spinning in mid air. Upon coming in contact with the wall, reverse directions on the analog stick and hit the jump button again. This ability is best used when trying to explore areas that a normal jump cannot reach.
Note that Wall Jumps Cannot be performed underwater.
Counters are performed by tapping the X button with the correct timing while an enemy is attacking you, and following up by pressing the Y button to finish off the enemy.
Note that only some enemy attacks can be countered, with those attacks showing a flash to indicate the counter timing. This ability is best used when facing specific enemies whose attacks can be countered. This can also be used to counter the deadly strike from EMMI enemies. Enemies that have been countered will also give more Missiles and Energy when defeated.
Sliding is performed by pressing the ZL button while running. This ability is best used to get under low terrain or to avoid enemies. Note that sliding cannot be performed underwater.
After countering an enemy attack, Samus can maintain momentum with a Dash Melee. She can jump in close to the enemy and use her counter as an offensive attack.
This ability allows Samus to hang off the side of a ledge and climb up. While hanging, Samus can fire her Arm Cannon and Missile attacks, use Free Aim, and Melee Counter.
This is the default Arm Cannon beam Samus will have at the start of the game. With her Power Beam, she can damage weaker enemies and open Power Beam Doors. Upgrading her beam will grant additional effects and allow her to open unique door types.
By default, Samus' missiles can destroy Missile Blocks, Missile Covers, and expose hidden blocks. Her Missiles can be further upgraded to deliver more damage and grant additional effects.
Previously, an emergency removal of X parasite-infected parts resulted in her Power Suit taking on an organic appearance. Now, her standard suit is gradually returning to its original mechanical form. Samus' power suit helps protect her from the harsh environments and creatures of this alien planet. However, her basic suit is vulnerable to high levels of heat or extreme cold.
Aeion Abilities are abilities that are powered by a unique energy source called Aeion. Aeion Abilities give Samus an advantage in combat, exploration, and even stealth from unbeatable foes. This will come in handy when Samus is in a pinch and needs the upper hand to get out of a sticky situation.
