What Happens If You Die?

Return to Your Last Saved Point

If you die in any area of the map except in EMMI zones or boss areas, you respawn to your last saved point in the map.

Dying to an EMMI or Boss

Game Over Metroid Dread.png
When you die to an EMMI or a boss, you respawn at the entrance of the EMMI zone or the boss area.

When you receive a weapon or item upgrade and die to either an EMMI or a boss, you still get to keep your upgrades. Samus will respawn by the entrance of the EMMI zone or boss area.
