How to Unlock the Power Beam

When the player takes control of Samus after the game's opening sequence, the Power Beam will be the default beam initially equipped to the Power Suit.

How to Use the Power Beam

Shoot by pressing Y

Press the Y button.png button to shoot.

Deal Regular Damage

The standard Power Beam gives Samus a reliable ranged attack with a good rate of fire. By pressing Y in quick succession, Samus can send out quick bursts of damage.

Opening Power Beam Doors

This glowing yellow door is the most basic door Samus will encounter. Shoot with the Power Beam to open.
