Location | Ghavoran |
Spin Boost is located at the central area of Ghavoran.
1 | Go underwater. Drop down from the spider magnet and go underwater. |
---|---|
2 | Go through the narrow passage. While underwater, you will see a narrow passage. Turn into a morph ball and go through it. |
3 | Go through the morph ball launcher. The morph ball launcher will lead you to the chamber containing the Spin Boost upgrade. |
4 | Obtain the Spin Boost upgrade. Shoot at the orb on the statue to obtain the upgrade. |
The Spin Boost adds an additional jump. Press B at the top of a spin jump to jump once again. Until obtaining the Gravity Suit, Samus cannot gain more height over the first jump when used underwater.
While standing beneath the ledge, jump to the left once and then to the right using the Spin Boost. You should now be able to go back the way you came!
Before you obtain the Gravity Suit, using the Spin Boost will help cross gaps underwater. Use Spider Magnet to leave the underwater part of the area.
Step-By-Step Walkthrough | |

1 | Exit the Spin Boost Room To exit the room containing the Spin Boost upgrade, you will need to use the upgrade to get up the ledge. To get out of the water, jump from the ledge and hit jump again as you are coming down to barely make it to the other side. |
2 | Defeat the Chozo Soldier Once you have obtained Spin Boost, you can head back the way you came. However, on your way back to the previous Save Station, you will first have to defeat a Chozo Soldier. |
3 | Head to North Section of the EMMI Zone After defeating the Chozo Soldier, you can use the newly acquired Spin Boost to access the north section of the EMMI Zone and defeat the Blue EMMI to get the Ice Missile upgrade. |
