Announcement Trailer

Metroid Dread was announced during E3 2021, along with its release date on October 8, 2021. The announcement trailer released last June 16, 2021 reveals short gameplay footage and introduces us to the new world and creatures in the game.

Another Glimpse of Dread

Another Glimpse of Dread was released on August 20, 2021 and introduces us to the X Parasite, a dangerous lifeform that could mimic other creatures based on their genetic information, and the origins of the EMMI robots on Planet ZDR.

Metroid Dread - Trailer 2

The second official trailer for Metroid Dread was released on August 27, 2021 and gives us a first glimpse of the Chozo Soldiers, a new enemy type in Metroid Dread. A few of Samus' new abilities were also featured in the trailer.

Overview Trailer

The overview trailer was released on September 10, 2021 and goes more in-depth with the different abilities of Samus Aran. The setting and story are also more fleshed out in this trailer, but it still leaves many mysteries to be uncovered.

Metroid Dread - Find Your Power

Find Your Power was released on September 15, 2021 and is the shortest trailer released so far. It showcases many of the features we have seen in previous trailers, but delivers it in a more concise package.

Metroid Dread - Sounds of Dread

Sounds of Dread was released on September 24, 2021 as part of the September Nintendo Direct. It gives players a glimpse of the different EMMIs in the game, and Samus wielding the Omega Cannon to take them down.

Additionally, it shows off a few more enemies including the creature that appears to be Kraid. It also features several of the other moves that Samus can use including the Shinespark.

Metroid Dread - 9.23.2021 Nintendo Direct

Immediately succeeding the Sounds of Dread trailer, this trailer was presented in the September Nintendo Direct and focused on the different Terrain and Life Forms that can be found on Planet ZDR.

The trailer also recommends users to visit the official Metroid Website to read and review the Metroid Dread Reports. The trailer ends by reconfirming the release date as October 8, 2021.

Metroid Dread - Face the Threat

Face the Threat was released on October 2, 2021. It showcases a more real life aesthetic and encouraging the viewer to become the bigger threat. The trailer ended with the release date (October 8, 2021) and the available platform (Nintendo Switch).

First Free Update Trailer

The trailer for the first free update of Metroid Dread was released on February 10, 2022, during the Nintendo Direct. The update was released later that day and included the new Dread Mode, Rookie Mode, and other new featuers. A second free update was also announced to release on April 2022.

All Gameplay Demo Videos

Nintendo Treehouse: Live

During Nintendo Treehouse: Live last June 16, 2021, Nintendo showcased the game in an almost hour-long segment where three Nintendo representatives played a decent portion of the game. You can watch the entire gameplay demo in a two-part video.
