This is the Ferenia walkthrough and guide for Metroid Dread for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn more about how to progress through the story, how to solve puzzles, and tips on area bosses.

Head to Ghavoran
After defeating Drogyga in Burenia, head to the north elevator and travel to Ghavoran.
Defeat the Robot Chozo Soldier
In Ghavoran, you will encounter another Robot Chozo Soldier. Defeat the Robot Chozo Soldier to unlock the path leading to the Network Station.
Learn about Ghavoran from Adam
Continue exploring Ghavoran until you reach the Network Station where Adam will give you more details on Ghavoran. You will encounter an EMMI Zone before reaching the Network Station, but the Blue EMMI is still inactive.
Obtain Super Missiles
After talking with Adam head south and find the hidden room containing the Super Missiles. With the Super Missiles, you can unlock more of the rooms around Ghavoran.
Head to Elun and Obtain the Plasma Beam
Break the missile cover blocking the path to the Shuttle that leads to Elun. Ride the Shuttle to Elun and explore the area until you find the room containing the Plasma Beam upgrade. The Plasma Beam allows you to open doors protected by green forcefields.
How to Open All Door Types and All Obstacle Block Types
Defeat the Chozo Soldier in Elun
With the Plasma Beam, you can access the path that leads to the Chozo Soldier. Defeat the Chozo Soldier and make your way back to Ghavoran.
On your way, many of the X Parasites in Elun will be released into the rest of the areas, transforming many lifeforms on the planet into their X form. X-infected enemies will have different attack patterns and release a parasite when defeated.
Samus can absorb X parasites to regain health and ammo, but if you do not absorb an parasite from the defeated enemy, it may move to a different location and respawn as a different enemy.
Activate the Blue EMMI in Ghavoran
During the ride back to Ghavoran, a cutscene will play where an X Parasite takes over the lifeless body of Quiet Robe and activates the Blue EMMI. The EMMI will be hostile once again and can freeze Samus with its scanning beam.
Obtain the Spin Boost
Continue exploring Ghavoran until you find the room containing the Spin Boost upgrade. With the Spin Boost, you can access more areas of the map.

Defeat the Chozo Soldier in Ghavoran
After obtaining the Spin Boost, make you way back into the room beside the Save Station. In that room, you will find another Chozo Soldier that you need to defeat.
Destroy the Blue EMMI and Obtain Ice Missiles
With the Spin Boost, you can now explore the upper section of the EMMI Zone. Find the Central Unit in this area and destroy it to obtain the Omega Cannon. Use the Omega Cannon to destroy the Blue EMMI and obtain the Ice Missile upgrade.
Obtain the Pulse Radar
Continue traversing through the map until you find the room containing the Pulse Radar. The Pulse Radar will make it easier to find hidden paths and secret areas.
Head to Ferenia and Talk to Adam
Head to the eastern area of the map and take the shuttle to Ferenia. Make your way to the Network Station, using your Pulse Radar to find hidden paths. In the Network Station, Adam will give you more details about Ferenia.
Defeat Escue and Obtain Storm Missiles
Continue exploring Ferenia while watching out for the Purple EMMI in the EMMI Zones. In the southeast area of the map, you will encounter another boss fight with Escue. Defeat Escue to obtain the Storm Missile Upgrade.
After obtaining the Storm Missiles, your next goal is to return to Artaria, but first, you'll want to acquire the Space Jump. Head back towards the room where you spoke with Adam. Along the way you where you will encounter the Twin Robot Chozo Soldiers.

What to Do If Stuck in Ferenia
How to Escape the Dead End Chamber
In the cold area to the north of Ferenia, you may find yourself stuck in a small room with no escape. There several hidden blocks in this area that you need to destroy in order to leave.

| 1 |  Destroy the Bomb BlocksOn the southeast corner of the room are a row of hidden bomb blocks. Place a cross bomb next to the pillar to destroy them. |
| 2 |  Use Screw Attack to Destroy the Blocks AboveIn the next section of the chamber, you will need to destroy the hidden Screw Attack Blocks above to access the next area. |
| 3 |  Open the Storm Missile DoorThe final chamber will have a simple Storm Missile Door. To open the door, lock on to all the Storm Missile points in the room and launch missiles at them simultaneously. |
