How to Unlock All Suits and Suit Upgrades

This guide will show how to obtain all suits and suit upgrades in Metroid Dread on the Nintendo Switch. Learn the location of each suit, as well as abilities for suits and how to use them.

List of Suits

Suit	Effects
Power Suit	● Gives Samus basic protection ● Vulnerable to extreme temperatures
Varia Suit	● Reduced damage from enemies ● Insulates from extreme heat ● Increases damage for Dash Melee
Gravity Suit	● Move freely underwater ● Insulates from extreme heat, lava, and cold ● Increases damage for Dash Melee
Metroid Suit	● More protection than any of her older suits combined. ● Absorb the energy of anything she touches.

How to Unlock All Suits

Power Suit

This is the default suit Samus obtained from the start of Metroid Dread.

After the initial encounter with Raven Beak, Samus woke up in Artaria with the Power Suit equipped.

Varia Suit

You can unlock the Varia Suit by returning to Artaria after exploring Cataris.

After defeating the Green EMMI in Cataris, make your way to the red teleportal at the far-left area of the map to travel back to Artaria. After exiting the teleportal, travel North and activate the thermal device. Continue further up to find the Varia Suit item sphere room.

Gravity Suit

The Gravity Suit can be found in a room locked behind a missile door in the underwater section of Burenia.

From the Network Station at the lower right area of the map, dive underwater to the platform almost adjacent to the Ammo Recharge Station. Use Space Jumps to cross to the other side where you will find a Missile Door. Open the door to reach the Gravity Suit item sphere room.

Metroid Suit

The Metroid Suit is the final suit that Samus acquired, which will unlock during the final battle. It is only useable for the last part of the game.
