2 | Defeat the Green EMMI Exit the Central Unit Room to engage the Green EMMI in battle. Melt its protective coating using the Omega Stream. Once it's exposed, aim the Omega Blaster to its head to destroy it. |
3 | Receive the Upgrade. After defeating the Green EMMI, you will automatically gain the upgrade. |
You can use the Shinespark ability while in Morph Ball mode. First, activate the Speed Booster. Then, store a Shinespark and enter Morph Ball mode. After that, simply activate the Shinespark and you will fly in whichever direction you choose while in Morph Ball form. This can be handy for collecting items and solving tricky Shinespark puzzles.
How to Solve All Speed Booster and Shinespark Puzzles
Samus can transform into her Morph Ball form to pass through tight spaces in the map, such as air ducts or small openings. Though Samus can also slide to pass through tight spaces, there are some areas that her slide cannot access.
While in her Morph Ball form, Samus can deploy her Bombs and Cross Bombs once she has obtained these two upgrades.
Use the Morph Ball together with the Phantom Cloak to hide from EMMIs and avoid detection. Some areas in EMMI Zones will have a small gap in the wall that you can fit in with your Morph Ball. Hiding in here and using the Phantom Cloak will ensure that the EMMI will not bump into while it passes by.
After obtaining the Morph Ball upgrade, Samus can now access several new areas around the map. To progress through the story, you will need to obtain the Varia Suit from Artaria so you can enter the warmer regions of the map.
Step-By-Step Walkthrough | |
---|---|
1 | Go through the alien statue's mouth. With the Morph Ball upgrade, Samus can now take the narrow path through the alien statue. |
2 | Shoot to reveal hidden passage. When you reached the bottom, shoot the platform above the sealed door to reveal a hidden passage. Proceed to the next area. |
3 |
Access the Red Teleportal. Continue forward and then up through a small Morph Ball maze to access the Red Teleportal. |
4 | Take the Northwest Path The Morph Ball upgrade also opens up a new path to the northwest of Artaria. After following this path, you will find another Thermal Energy Switch. |
5 | Activate the Thermal Fuel Switch After activating the switch, several traps will activate and the northern side of Artaria will start to crumble. A new path will also open up leading further north. |
6 | Obtain the Varia Suit Follow the new path to a room containing the Varia Suit upgrade. The Varia Suit upgrade allows Samus to access the warmer areas of the map. |
7 | Return to Cataris and Defeat Kraid With the Varia Suit upgrade, Samus can take the Red Teleportal back to Cataris and head south to battle Kraid. |
