Location | Dairon |
1 | Find and destroy the Central Unit. Locate the Central Unit in Dairon and defeat it to gain the Omega Cannon. |

2 |
Defeat the Yellow EMMI Exit the Central Unit Room to engage the Yellow EMMI in battle. Melt its protective coating using the Omega Stream. Once it's exposed, aim the Omega Blaster to its head to destroy it. |
3 | Receive the Upgrade. After defeating the Yellow EMMI, you will automatically gain the upgrade, together with Shinespark. |
You can do this before getting the Bomb upgrade if you have the Grapple Beam, but this way will require performing a different Pseudo Wave Beam shot through a wall below to drain the water.
1 | Make your way to this marked location on your map. You can access this area after you drained the water. |
---|---|
2 | Break the Alien Block by charging your Beam Weapon. This will be a pseudo Wave Beam shot in the sense that it will destroy the Alien block thanks to the small AoE hitbox your Beam Weapon will create when it hits the wall. This one is particularly tricky to aim for, but it is manageable. |
3 | Take the Shuttle to fight the Central Unit and then the EMMI. Taking the shuttle will bring you to the lower section of Dairon. Here, you can make your way up to the Central Unit's location to get the Omega cannon and defeat the Yellow EMMI! |
The Speed Booster upgrade can be used to break down Speed Booster Block in a straight horizontal path. Samus will sustain her momentum even after entering another room, allowing her to smash through obstacles there as well.
While Samus is using Speed Booster, any enemies that she runs into will also be damaged.
You can use the Shinespark ability while in Morph Ball mode. First, activate the Speed Booster. Then, store a Shinespark and enter Morph Ball mode. After that, simply activate the Shinespark and you will fly in whichever direction you choose while in Morph Ball form. This can be handy for collecting items and solving tricky Shinespark puzzles.
Certain upgrades and items are unreachable until you obtain the Speed Booster and Shinespark upgrades.
How to Solve All Speed Booster and Shinespark Puzzles
After obtaining the Speed Booster go back to Cataris and then back to Artaria via the elevators. In the upper section of Artaria you can now break through the Speed Booster Blocks in the upper central area by performing a Shinespark. Once at the top, continue right through the Save Station and drop down. Shortly after you will find a room with the Grapple Beam inside.
