Dread - Is Ridley in Dread.png
Ridley, the archnemesis of Samus, has made an appearance in the majority of Metroid game titles. However, the iconic Space Pirate leader will not be reprising his role as an enemy in Metroid Dread. This guide will go over Ridley's past appearances and if he was ever planned to be in Metroid Dread or not!

Ridley is not an enemy in Metroid Dread

Unfortunately, Ridley does not return as an enemy for Metroid Dread. Despite the Space Pirate leader being revived, cloned, and mimicked several times throughout the Metroid timeline, it seems that he may be gone for good, or at least in this game.

Appears in the Gallery

Although Ridley doesn't appear as an enemy in Metroid Dread, he is featured in two of the different Ending Rewards for the game.

He can be seen in the Ending Reward for beating the game on Hard Mode as part of the Other M artwork.

He also appears in the 7th hidden Ending Reward for collecting all six of the other Ending Rewards.

What a shame. Ridley was and still is the reason I play these games so no Ridley no new Metroid for me!

That was disappointing, no Ridley, Space Pirates or Metroid's in Metroid Dread. The three most iconic enemies in the series are missing.
