Fenrir is a support unit that can lower the cooldowns of her allies, cleanse them of debuffs, and heal them when their HP drops below half. She's also fairly survivable thanks to her DEF self-buff, as well as how she also benefits from her debuff cleansing ability.

• Has a DEF self-buff that cannot be dispelled.

Deals 1 magical attack equal to 230% of Fenrir’s ATK to 5 random enemies, and dispels 2 debuffs each from both her and 1 adjacent ally.
Level 2 (Unlocks by level 21)
The magical attack’s damage becomes equal to 290% of her ATK.
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 101)
The targets whose debuffs are dispelled become Fenrir and 2 adjacent allies.
Level 4 (Unlocks by level 181)
The magical attack’s damage becomes equal to 380% of her ATK.

When an ally is attacked or after they evade an attack, if their remaining HP percentage becomes 50% or lower, this skill restores HP equal to 5% of that ally’s max HP to them. This skill activates 1 time every turn.
Level 2 (Unlocks by level 41)
The amount the target’s HP is restored by becomes equal to 10% of their max HP.
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 121)
The amount the target’s HP is restored by becomes equal to 20% of their max HP.

Fenrir is a tanky support whose main gimmick is how she can reduce her allies' cooldowns by 1 turn (or 2 if she has her UW). This allows key abilities to be cast sooner and more frequently if the battle lasts long. Fenrir also improves her allies' survivability by cleansing them (as well as herself) of 2 debuffs with her Icicle Shower skill. When things go south and her allies get chunked, she can heal an ally whose health bar drops below 50% once every turn. All these make Fenrir a fine support who'd do well in plenty of teams.

The catch with Fenrir is how her cooldown reduction buff may be for nothing if the targeted allies die before they can recast their skills. This is Fenrir's bread-and-butter ability, as the other things in her kit are fairly common in other witches, and there are witches who can do these same things better. Debuffs won't be as effective against her as she can shed 2 debuffs for every ally targeted with her cleansing skill. Finally, her heal is quite good when upgraded, but it only triggers once per turn, so it may get wasted on a unit of less importance. Against Fenrir, look to use strong attackers who can eliminate threats in the first 2 rounds like Cordie and Florence to prevent opponents from recasting their skills early.

Level 2 (Unlocks by level 141)
The amount her DEF increases by becomes 60%.
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 221)
The amount her DEF increases by becomes 80%.

The skill is solely responsible for Fenrir's tankiness, she receives a permanent and non-dispellable DEF buff of up to 80%. While this will help her stay in the fight long, she's weak to DEF Break, as this will allow the attacks to bypass her DEF.

Fenrir Hard Counters

MementoMori - Cordie IconCordie

Cordie is arguably Fenrir's worst matchup. She's a fast heavy-hitter who can take out Fenrir's allies before they can benefit from her cooldown reduction buff. She has an AOE DEF debuff that Fenrir can cleanse, but her kit doesn't revolve around that and she'll be fine even if it gets cleansed. Finally, her ridiculous amounts of DEF Break can make quick work of Fenrir herself.

MementoMori - Florence IconFlorence

Although she's nowhere nearly as fast as Cordie, nor does she have her high amounts of built-in DEF Break, Florence is an excellent matchup against Fenrir thanks to her massive damage that can also end fights very quickly, rendering Fenrir's cooldown buff unused.

MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn

While she's not technically a strong counter to Fenrir by herself, Merlyn's offensive buffs are very powerful and is the reason why she's been one of the most used supports in the game for a long time now. These said buffs can enable her allies to deal with Fenrir's CD-buffed allies.

A standard Cordie team can generally beat Fenrir, especially if Cordie is able to wipe out the important allies Fenrir buffs. In this team, Cordie and Amleth deal big damage with buffs from Primavera and Merlyn. Prima can inflict Faint on her foes, while Nina can be an annoying tank unit that hurls back debuffs meant for you. Amleth, Nina, and Primavera can be replaced with other witches like Dian, Mimi, and Soltina, depending on what you need.

Another team filled with non-limited units, this team can also defeat Fenrir's important allies before they can cast their abilities for the 2nd time. Similarly to the first sample counter team, the must-haves here are Merlyn and Florence, and you could replace the other three with Amleth, Nina, Dian, or whoever can benefit your team against a specific Fenrir comp.

Witches Not To Use Against Fenrir

Summer Moddey, like other characters who depend on landing their debuffs, is extremely weak to Fenrir as she can cleanse multiple debuffs at a time. This will severely impact Summer Moddey's damage output, as her kit revolves around her Poison debuff.

MementoMori - Amleth IconAmleth

While Amleth isn't so bad against Fenrir when she's just the secondary damage dealer, witches who like long battles (like Amleth) may struggle against Fenrir, as she can allow her carries to cast their skill more times than they normally would throughout the long battle.

Tips for Beating Fenrir

Defeat Her Allies Quickly

If you do this, you prevent them from casting their skills early, which severely impacts Fenrir's usefulness.

Use DEF Break To Bypass Her High DEF

Fenrir can have up to 80% bonus DEF, which is really high. Fortunately, this is her only defensive measure. If you manage to get through it with DEF Break, you can make quick work of her.

Don't Bother Bringing Units That Rely On Strong Debuffs

Fenrir is great at cleansing her units of debuffs as she can remove multiple at a time.
