Sivi is a support that fills a very specific role — as that of a support for very slow and bulky damage dealers like Fia, and Witch Illya. As such, she is a common enemy in lineups that focus on attrition alongside Yuni and Rusalka.

Defeating her and her allies through halfhearted means will prove to be incredibly difficult, as her skills are particularly effective in punishing weak attacks. She is also difficult to control via debuffs, as she can easily dispel all of them from herself when afflicted with more than one

Sivi Skill Analysis

Fortifying Blade

Sivi's Fortifying Blade is an extremely powerful buff that doubles as a semi-competent nuke and self-healing skill. It allows her teammates to retaliate with staggering damage, depending on how often they are hit per turn. This synergizes extremely well with slow, bulky teammates such as Fia and Witch Illya.

Fortunately, this skill's buff can be dispelled.

Life-Stealing Strike

Sivi's Life-Stealing Strike allows her to support her slow teammates (who are usually the attackers) with heals. Considering that she often pairs herself with slow and bulky attackers, the effects of this skill usually go to them. Thankfully, the healing output of this skill can be somewhat mitigated by Multi-Barriers and other damage-cutting skills.

Due to Sivi's low SPD, she and her team are typically vulnerable to powerful, first-turn nukes from the likes of Florence and Cordie, as they tend to unload all of their skills before Sivi can ready her allies with Fortifying Blade.

Do note, however, that if Sivi's team survives the initial assault, then they will be in a position to retaliate hard afterward.

Nina

Regardless of how powerful Fortifying Blade is, since it can be dispelled, then Nina can counter it. It's difficult to even prevent Nina from stealing her buff because Sivi is slightly faster than her. However, this is only true if Nina is built to have minimum speed.

The standard Florence team for PvE works rather well against Sivi teams. However, this relies a lot on Florence and Cordie's investment levels, as well as the speed tuning between them, Merlyn, and Olivia. Ideally, Merlyn and Olivia should move first before Cordie and then Florence. However, due to Cordie's staggering base speed, that is a difficult ask.

As a support, Sivi herself doesn't deal that much damage and can be safely ignored to an extent. Instead, players can focus on defeating her allies using skills that prioritize targeting high-ATK targets. Tainted Iris and Lea are especially effective at this, considering their first skills nuke attackers specifically right from the start.

Witches Not To Use Against Sivi

Witches that specialize in sustained damage, particularly by the mid-game, will find it hard to deal with Sivi and her team's Fortifying Blade-boosted retaliation damage at the end of every turn.

Exchanging basic attacks is a terrible idea against Sivi and her allies, particularly when they're under the effects of Fortifying Blade. Doing so will only make their own basic attacks hit harder in exchange for dealing minuscule amounts of it to them thanks to Sivi's defensive buffs.

While it is entirely viable to disable Sivi's teammates from moving via action-hindering debuffs, do not expect the same to work on Sivi herself. To do so requires inflicting her with one right after her Magic Sword's Ward triggers, which is a very volatile tactic considering she might resist any one of the buffs that head her way.

Tips for Beating Sivi

End The Game Early

Due to the nature of the teams Sivi is usually a part of, letting the match drag onto the end-game is just playing to their strengths and should be avoided. This is particularly true if she is partnered with Fia, who is perhaps the best attrition-based witch in the game.

Always Dispel Fortifying Blade

Sivi's gimmick revolves around her Fortifying Blade buff. Fortunately, it can be dispelled, so do so as often as you can.

Buffs Are Your Best Friends

Because Sivi's Fortifying Blade ramps up its effects depending on the number of times her allies are hit, going for a few, very powerful skills boosted by other witches' buffs will work better than letting entire teams take potshots at Sivi's teammates.
