Mount Bervenia can only be unlocked on Chapter 4. The Materia Blade+ can be found here.
Chapter 4: In the Name of Love Walkthrough
Prepare a Chemist with a Jump Value of 4

When obtaining Materia Blade+, ensure you bring a Chemist with a Jump stat of 4 or greater. Jump can be increased with Movement abilities like Jump +1 or Accessories like Spiked Boots or Germinas Boots.
Chemists have innate Treasure Hunter, making them the ideal job class for picking up buried treasure. If you wish to choose a different job class for this role, that unit will need to equip Treasure Hunter and wear Accessories that boost Jump.
All Hidden Items and Treasure Locations
Enter Mount Bervenia from Zeklaus Desert
Enter Mount Bervenia from Zeklaus Desert until you get into a random battle. Entering from here can place your party's initial position near the volcano top, which is where you need to go.
Place a Chemist Near the Volcano Top
During battle formation, place your Chemist as close to the top of the volcano as you can get. This allows you to jump up immediately at the start of the battle to collect the Materia Blade+.
From here, the Chemist can also help finish the battle off by attacking with Guns from this high vantage point.
All Hidden Items and Treasure Locations
Acquire the Materia Blade+
Once your Chemist reaches the top of the volcano, they will find buried treasure and the Materia Blade+ will be yours.
There is only one copy of this weapon in the game. Take great care not to have it broken by enemy Knights.
