You can recruit Units by going to a Warrior's Guild and dismiss them by accessing the Units tab in Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles. Learn more about how to recruit and dismiss units in the game.

Open the World Map
You will first need to access the World Map so that you can start recruiting new Units for your party.
Select a Warrior's Guild
Select a location on the World Map that has Warrior's Guild as one of its establishments. Warrior's Guilds are usually accompanied by Taverns and Outfitters in some select locations.
Choose From the Selection of Units
Choose the Recruit option after you've accessed the Warrior's Guild. From there, choose a Unit of your choice to add to your party. The Units will all be starting at level 1, and each Unit has a recruit fee of 1500 Gil.
Different Stats For Each Recruit
Additionally, all recruitable Units have varying stats that you can consider when recruiting them for your party.
How to Dismiss Units

Select the Units Tab
You will need to open up the Main Menu once you've accessed your World Map. From there, you will need to select the Units tab and choose from your selection of Units that you want dismissed.
Press the Dismiss Option on the Screen
From there, select the Dismiss option on the screen. This option can be found on the lower left portion of the screen, just next to the Converse option.
Unit Gives Dialogue When Dismissed
When dismissing a Unit, you may find them a bit hurt and angry about your decision, as they will provide some dialogue for their dismissal from your party.
Ramza and Guest Units Cannot Be Dismissed
The Dismiss option can be found when you've selected Ramza and Guest Units in your Units tab, but a dialogue prompt will appear that will prevent you from doing so.
